Applications
The Film School is a limited access program, therefore admission is selective and competitive. For consideration of admission to the film major as an undergraduate student, please submit a Film School application directly to our main office. An application form and instructions are available by clicking on one of the application selections listed below.
A separate application obtained from the FSU Office of Admissions must also be submitted for consideration of admission to Florida State University. Freshman Application
Applicants who will be entering college for the first time, or who will have completed no more than 18 credit hours of college liberal studies coursework prior to Fall admission should make an application to the film major as a freshman.
Transfer Application
Admission into the film major as a transfer student requires that no less than 27 hours of FSU's Liberal Studies requirement be completed by Fall Admission. Please visit the FSU Website (Office of Undergraduate Studies) to review FSU's Liberal Studies requirements.
Graduate Applications
Applicants for the Graduate Film Conservatory must hold an undergraduate degree or successfully complete an undergraduate degree program prior to entering the program.
Applications must be submitted online through the Florida State University Office of Admissions. Information on required and optional supplemental materials can be found here.
APPLICATION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 1, 2008.
All application materials submitted directly to the Film School must be received no later than the deadline of December 1 for consideration of admission in the Fall. Applications received on December 2 or later will not be considered. There is no spring or summer admission. Official application period for Fall 2009 admission is September 1, 2008 - December 1, 2008.
