Which films inspired you to study filmmaking?

The Incredibles… and all the other Pixar films.

Why did you choose to study Animation and Digital Arts at Florida State University?

I love FSU's focus on storytelling. Some programs focus on cutting-edge software and equipment, but in this field it's the story that transcends all else.

What does the Art of Storytelling mean to you?

To me that means making a connection with people you have never and may never meet by exploring ideas that relate to everyone.

How is the Animation and Digital Arts program preparing you for the filmmaking industry?

The industry is changing and more and more movies are depending on visual effects. I feel I'm getting the best of both worlds (live action and animation) and am getting a very well-rounded education that will apply to many different potential jobs.

What is your favorite part of the program?

I love how close we are with each other and the faculty. I feel like I'm making life-long connections.

What has been the biggest surprise while studying Animation and Digital Arts at FSU?

It's amazing how much you can grow in such a short amount of time when your sole focus is on film. Every day I get more passionate about what I'm studying and I'm always inspired by my classmates and teachers.

What are your professors like?

They are so down-to-earth and approachable. I feel like I can go to them with anything, and their experience and expertise is so valuable.
