Gold Carpet Gala

The Gold Carpet Gala Fundraiser is the seminal event of the year for the Film School and for the City of Tallahassee. Bringing in film industry professionals and special celebrity guests, the evening brings with it the glamour and excitement of Hollywood.

Starting with an exclusive gourmet reception where our supporters get to meet and mingle with our special guests, moving to the premier screening of our graduating MFA thesis films, and finishing off with a wrap party on the Film School sound stages that brings in the dawn.

Past special guests have included: Jonathan King, Executive Vice President of Production at Participant Productions (Good Night and Good Luck, The Visitor, The Soloist) and Ron Friedman, Screenwriter of Brother Bear, Chicken Little, and Open Season and Ryan Saul of the Agency for the Performance Arts of Los Angeles who represents clients such as the creators of TV hits, Frasier, CSI: Miami and movies like Prairie Home Companion, and New York’s Tribeca Film Festival Chief Creative Officer, Geoffrey Gilmore.

This year's gala will continue with more wonderful guests and a lot more Hollywood.

This event is by special invitation only for those Film School Producers Guild members at the Executive Producer level or above. For more information about The Film School Producers Guild click here, or please contact Fred Salancy at (850) 644-3911 or via email at fsalancy@film.fsu.edu
